Fay is an entrepreneur, an investment banker, and investor relations expert having worked as an institutional stockbroker, corporate finance executive on capital raisings, mergers and acquisitions, cross border transactions, IPO’s and crisis issues. In 1990, Fay started & built Australia’s first Investor Relations advisory firm, Orient Capital; opened offices in Sydney, London, New York and Hong Kong. Orient Capital became the largest and most respected firm of its kind in Asia Pacific and was awarded the top IR firm globally (exc US) for three years running. Fay has advised Boards and senior management of companies of all sizes listed on ASX, SGX, HKSX, AIM and NASDAQ, on the development and implementation of their corporate strategy and investor relations functions (including shareholder proxy voting, disclosure policies and corporate governance issues). In 2004, after negotiating the sale of Orient Capital to the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX), she remained CEO of the company of more than 500 employees and later negotiated the sale of Orient Capital on behalf of ASX to Link Group. Orient Capital was the ‘jewel in the crown’ for the LINK Group-(LNK) stockmarket listing on the ASX in 2015. Fay remained an Executive Director of Orient Capital for a further two years before starting Island Blue IR, a business strategy and investor relations consultancy. As well as her qualitifcations, Fay holds various US & UK capital market certificates, SEC Series 7, 5, 15 , CFTCand Financial Derivatives, UK. With Fay’s background in Strategy/Investor Relations and Capital Markets, she is a trusted advisor to CEO’s, boards and entrepreneurs, start-up and private equity companies and venture capitalists.
